Install the standalone ariadnev CLI on macOS, Linux, or Windows with one verified command.

    3. What the installer does
    4. macOS Gatekeeper
    5. Optional: Claude Code hooks
    6. Verify

The installer downloads the binary for your platform from ariadnev.com, verifies its sha256 against the published checksums, installs it, and links the short av alias next to it. No Node runtime is required for the CLI.

    macOS and Linux

    curl -fsSL https://ariadnev.com/install | bash

Installs to ~/.local/bin. Change the target with ARIADNEV_INSTALL_DIR.

    Windows (PowerShell)

    irm https://ariadnev.com/install.ps1 | iex

    Installs to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\ariadnev.

    What the installer does

    1. Resolves the current release version from https://ariadnev.com/version.
    2. Downloads ariadnev-<os>-<arch> and checksums.txt from https://ariadnev.com/download/.
    3. Verifies the binary's sha256 before writing it anywhere.
    4. Links av beside the binary. Skip that with ARIADNEV_ALIAS=off; an existing av is never overwritten.

Prefer to read the script first? Open https://ariadnev.com/install — it is the same anonymous path the command fetches.

    macOS Gatekeeper

The binary is not yet notarized, so the first run may be blocked. Allow it with:

    xattr -d com.apple.quarantine "$(command -v ariadnev)"

    Optional: Claude Code hooks

The CLI itself is self-contained. The optional Claude Code hooks the kit ships are separate .cjs processes and need node on your PATH when you enable them.

    Verify

    ariadnev --version
    av --version

Then continue with your first install.
